A day at Walters' Fruit Ranch....You are greeted by two sweet dogs, Rocky and Koda Bear. They follow you to the door, begging for you to scratch behind their ears. The door opens with the smell of freshly baked pies and tree ripened fruit. While you look around at the homemade jams and dressings, the handcrafted signs and the large selection of wine, you see in the corner the words of a song, sung to you by your mother; “I Love You A Bushel and a Peck.” Her memory comes back into your mind as if it were yesterday. As you continue to browse the rest of the store, you step into our new “Orchard Café.” A smiling face welcomes you, "What can I get for you." You look at the pie list Cherry Crumb or the Fresh Raspberry. You choose a slice of Raspberry just out of the oven, with a scoop of Mary Lou’s homemade ice cream and a cup of freshly brewed Craven’s coffee. You take a seat at one of the hand-made wooden tables, the Juke Box plays a Dixie Chicks song and the windows are cracked just enough to feel a warm breeze brush your cheek. Awwww this could be heaven. A tractor roars and a whistle blows “All aboard the FRUITLOOP EXPRESS.” A perfect break. Come make our farm your family memory.
